As with many other great European cities, the departure of the sun doesn’t have to mean the end of your fun. With the European tradition of music, dancing and food, you will find something that will keep you entertained, offer a taste of a different culture, and make it difficult to get to bed at a decent hour. You will find variety in the music, the atmosphere found at each place, and the people who you will meet when you enjoy Lisbon at night.

1. Rockfella's - website

If you love music from the 50's and 60's, this is one place you may want to put on your list for night time fun. With bands that offer a great sound, and music to please the rock lover, you will be in for a treat.

2. Docas - website

With an amazing view of the river, this slightly nautical hotspot offers music, dancing, and great beer in a beautiful environment. 

3. Lux Fragil - website

Located near the river, this club offers some great entertainment with a sense of offbeat humor you’re likely to fall in love with as soon as you open the door. If you’re looking for a counterculture hotspot, you’ve probably just found it.

4. Pavilhão Chinês - website

A historic fado house, this place is worth visiting just for the history, let alone the excitement of the bar itself. Catch it until 2 a.m. every night of the week and on Saturdays.

5. Plateau- website

Ready for some serious music? Want to rub elbows with the elite while hanging out with everyone else? This is the place to be. A killer one-story club with a great mix of music, this should certainly be one of your evening excursions while you’re here.

6. Cafe Luso - website

Great folk music nightly, accompanied by wonderful Lisbon food. One of the most famous fado clubs, you’ll get three shows a night.

7. Queens - website

If you prefer something a little more exciting on the gay scene, this is certainly the spot for you. With great music, you’ll find a mostly male audience under the age of 35, but the size of the club alone is enough to attract the brave.

8. A Severa - website

With great food, famous singers, and a statue honoring a Gypsy fadista, how could you possibly go wrong? You can’t, and this club is proof. This club seems to shift to locals only after midnight, though.

9. Kapital - website

A multi level club with a different atmosphere on each floor, you will find entertainment, romance, and dancing, all in one place. If you’re looking for variety, this is probably the place to be

10. Bachus

Looking for an unbeatable late-night candle-lit supper? This is the place. Open until 3:30 a.m., you can find a great selection of drinks and some of the most famous faces in Lisbon.
